What This Service Entails
More than a cleaning
Four out of five pets over three have dental disease — most of it hidden below the gumline. Our dental exams grade every tooth, check gums and bite, and use dental x-rays to reveal the roots, bone loss, and abscesses eyes can’t see.
Cleanings happen under safe, monitored anesthesia with warming, IV fluids, nerve blocks for extractions, and same-day homecomings.
What’s included
- Awake oral assessment with 0–4 dental grading per tooth
- Full dental x-rays revealing roots, bone, and hidden abscesses
- Ultrasonic scaling and polishing above and below the gumline
- Monitored anesthesia with warming, fluids, and pain control
- Home-care coaching: brushing, chews, and water additives that work

Questions
Dental FAQs
Yes — for safe, complete care. “Anesthesia-free” cleanings skip x-rays and below-gumline scaling, where most disease lives, and risk scaring already-sore pets.
Bad breath, drooling, dropping food, chewing on one side, pawing at the mouth, or “just slowing down.” Pets rarely cry — they quietly cope.
Most pets benefit yearly after age three; small breeds and cats prone to resorption may need more frequent checks. Home brushing stretches the interval.
